I’m by no means unfamiliar with the awesome G Vibe which is made by the wonderful ladies and gents over at FunToys. About a year ago I was lucky enough to test and review there first G Vibe and you can read that review HERE.
I was pleasantly surprised when the latest and improved version of the G Vibe landed on my doorstep one day courtesy of Fun Toys and couldn’t wait to put it through it’s paces and report back to you and let you know if the improvements made this toy better than it’s original.
One thing I have to say about the Fun Toy folks is they have packaging down to a fine art, literally. As a woman, who really detests bad sex toy packaging, this company does everything right in my book. If I was browsing a store, I would be likely to buy this vibe simply based on it’s extremely stylish packaging. Enclosed in the package was a USB charger, stylish carry bag, and handbooks.
The G Vibe itself is actually not far removed in looks from it’s predecessor, the main difference being that this one as the name suggests is black in color. Made of the same high grade silicone, it measures in at about 8 3/4″ with about 6″ of that being insert able. The downside of both the color of this vibe as well as the material is that it picks up cat hair and lint quickly. On the plus side this vibe is waterproof and that makes clean up of said cat hair easier than other toys that suffer the same fate.
Solo Test
I love the fact that this toy has an ergonomic design and the placement of the handle makes it easy to, well, handle. Combined with the placement of the three buttons that are placed in just the right place for me to reach them with my thumb, the G Vibe was already a winner.
During solo use was where the upgrades and small changes that have been made to this vibe became really apparent. As this is a split vibe, which basically means that the business end splits into two separate ends, I found the last model was a little too soft for me to achieve good g-spot stimulation. This issue has been addressed this time around and the two end are not as pliable and I was able to feel them against my g-spot as long as I was at the right angle.
The good thing is that although the ends have been stiffened in this model, but they are not so stiff that they cannot be manipulated. This like the original offers the user a multitude of possibilities and when you add in the fact that this toy has six pulse patterns, you get the idea that this toy can live up to not only it’s name but especially that of the company that makes it. Fun, fun, fun…
I’ve tried this vibe lots of different ways over the past month and as I suspected it proved to be a lot of fun. I like the fact that with the split ends, I can glide it over my vulva area and trap my clit between the two ends, making for some sweet sensations. I also love the fact that this is waterproof. On a noise level it’s not the nosiest of toys I own, by any means, but it can be a little noisy if I’m not on my own in the house. Being waterproof helps solve this problem, as this is the one part of the house where I can always be alone, and the sounds of the shower can hide the sounds of more than just the vibe -))
Partner Play
Like it’s predecessor we had mixed feelings when it come to actually doing the horizontal tango with the Noir. The ends can be used as extra stimulation but the G Vibe is a little big to be successful in this area of play.
Instead we prefer to use the G Vibe for foreplay purposes. Hubby likes one particular pulsating pattern in particular and when I place his penis between the two ends, it doesn’t take long for the foreplay to end and the tango to begin.
What’s It All Add Up To?
The G-Vibe is not only a stylish toy to look at, it’s also a lot of fun and versatile to use. I love, love the packaging that this toys comes in and other manufacturers would do well to note it’s packaging.
The fact that this toy is waterproof as well is a major plus for me as I’ve stated before. In all I really, really like the new improved Noir. My only suggestion to funtoys would be to consider making the power buttons light up, but that is a minor detail and like the original G Vibe I look forward to many more hours of fun…
