It’s all too easy to fall into thinking that when it comes to sex toys you’ve seen it all when you around them all day. Then all of a sudden someone will produce a product that makes you raise your eyebrows and this is the effect that Heeldo had on me: A strap-on harness for your foot? Really! Just what the hell would they think of next? Was the first thought that crossed my mind, the second was, but it could be fun…
A few days later the Heeldo arrived on my doorstep. I liked the packaging but I couldn’t wait to get into the actual product. The Heeldo does not include a dildo just for the record, but it will work with any O-ring compatible dildo and like any sex toy reviewer worth her salts, I just happen to have a few of those kicking around the bedroom. I decided to pick my newest acquisition from the dildo world, the Fetish Fantasy Elite by Pipedreams which I will be reviewing later. This is a fairly standard silicone dildo coming in at 7” and I figured it was a good place to start.
Once I had the Heeldo out of its packaging I began to understand its concept better. It’s made from 100% Neoprene and is completely washable. It does taking some getting your head around how to actually use this the first time around but it really wasn’t that hard to figure out. It was even easier after I discovered the pretty pictures on the back of the box which it came in. You can use this in two positions and each will give you the user a unique experience as I will explain later.
The Heeldo comes complete with the harness, 2 stainless steel O-rings and 1 rubber O-ring. I decided that this was as good a time as any to put the Heeldo to the test and duly set about placing it on my foot. I don’t have what I would consider small feet at a size 9 but for some reason I ordered the small in the Heeldo and I found it fit well. It’s simply a case of pulling the harness over your foot like you would a sock and then adding in your favorite dildo which is held in place by the most suitable O-ring. It didn’t take me long to figure this out at all and it took me even less time to figure out by kneeling I was in the perfect position to place the dildo where all good dildos need to go.
I was really surprised by how much maneuverability the Heeldo gave me and it wasn’t long before I found myself happily pleasuring myself with my own foot. This was using the rear heel position in the harness and I have to say I was really happy with the effects. The Heeldo is really comfortable and I soon forgot that I was wearing it and was able to enjoy some hands free solo fun.
After I’d recovered from the effects of the rear heel position I decided to give the bottom heel position a try. This allowed me to simply lay back, lift my leg up, and penetrate myself with the dildo. I was personally not quite as fond of this position as the rear heel one but both were great and both had the desired results in a hand free fucking with not a male in sight.
It was quite a while before I introduced my Hubby to the pleasures of the Heeldo. Like me he was intrigued but couldn’t quite wrap his head around the concept until I showed him, then all bets were off and we began to get creative. He has worn the Heeldo and given me so fun with it, which according to him is not hard -)) we’ve played with double penetration as well, with me wearing the dildo. The positioning became really important here but I can tell you it can be done and the results made it well worth the effort it took.
I also discovered that when I was playing solo, I like to use the Heeldo in the bath tub or the shower. As this harness is neoprene which is the same material that divers use to make their wet suits from it can add a whole new dimension of fun into the mix. I’m waiting to get hold of an O-Ring compatible waterproof Vibe as I think that could take heel play into a whole new dimension.
What’s It All Add Up To?
I love this product, plain and simple. I’m a great believer in the kiss [Keep It Simple Stupid] principal when it comes to my sex life. While I had serious doubts about the Heeldo when I first saw it, all of those doubts were unfounded. As long as you own an O-ring compatible dildo and a foot, the possibilities really are only limited to your imagination.
I loved the fact that although I generally use this as a solo toy, if I choose to add my partner into the mix, he can also enjoy it or help me enjoy it depending on our moods. Whether you’re looking for something to spice up your solo play or your partner play the Heeldo is sure to please!
