Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: Jenna Byrnes

Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: Jenna Byrnes

taylorstask_largewebErotic author Jenna Byrnes says in an ideal world, she could use more cabinet space and more hours in a day. She’d also fill the kitchen with gadgets her husband purchases off TV and let him cook for her to his heart’s content. She’d also breeze through the days adding hours of sleep, and more time for writing the hot, erotic romance she loves to read.

Jenna thinks everyone deserves a happy ending, and loves to provide as many of those as possible to her gay, lesbian and hetero characters. Her favorite quote, from a pro-gay billboard, is “Be careful who you hate. It may be someone you love.”

1. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
Lots of authors will tell you the same thing, as a kid. I started when I was about ten years old writing romance as I envisioned it in my head. My first heroine had thirteen children because choosing names was so much fun! (I still love picking just the right character names.) My first ‘novels’ were written on notebook paper and bound with yarn.

Erotic Romance Author: Pamela L. Todd

Erotic Romance Author: Pamela L. Todd

now you see me an erotic romance novelPamela has adored books since she can remember. There was no greater pleasure than discovering a new world to venture into, a new character to fall in love with…until she created her own and realised there was something even more magical.

When she isn’t locked away at her computer, or scribbling in a notebook, Pamela can be found as her alter ego—namely wife to Matthew and mother to Todd. They also share their home with a schizophrenic cat and two greedy goldfish.

Pam tore herself away from the goldfish, umm I mean writing, and took a few minutes to answer some questions about her writing.

Erotic Romance Author: M. K. Schiller

Erotic Romance Author: M. K. Schiller

Erotic Romance Author SpotlightMK Schiller is  a hopeless romantic in a hopelessly pragmatic world. She has a full time life and two busy teenagers, but in the dark of night, She sits by the warm glow of my computer monitor, reading or writing, usually with some tasty Italian…the food that is!
She started imagining stories in her head at a very young age. In fact, she got so good at it that friends asked her to create plots featuring them as the heroine and the object of their affection as the hero. You’ve heard of fan fiction… this was friend fiction.
I hope you enjoy my stories and always find The Happily Ever After in every endeavor.

Mk was good enough to take some time out of that busy life and spend a few moments answering some questions.

1. How long does it take you to write a book?
It depends on how much the story is speaking to me. Sometimes they are light whispers and other times they scream. I try to develop the whispers so they turn into screams. Sometimes I can write a book in a fortnight. Other times, it can take months.

Morticia Knight InterviewThis week we were lucky enough to get to talk to the very talented Erotic romance Author, Morticia Knight, about her life as a writer, as well as taking a glimpse into her latest book in The Hampton Road Club series, Hesistant Heart.

1. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
When I was about twelve, it could’ve been earlier than that. But that was about the time that I became incredibly serious about everything. I got a subscription to Writer’s Digest and bought the publisher’s guide – I was determined to be a famous published author immediately. I also began writing my first series, a very sarcastic detective series with me and my best friend as the protagonists. No wonder everyone at school thought I was a complete nerd – it all becomes clear.

Erotic Romance Author: Bailey Bradford

Erotic Romance Author: Bailey Bradford

Bailey Bradford New Book SpotlessThis week’s erotic romance author is none other than Bailey Bradford! For those of you that aren’t familiar with her or her work, let me fill you in a little.

Bailey Bradford is a native Texan, who spends her days spinning stories around in her head, which has contributed to more than one incident of tripping over her own feet. Evenings are reserved for pounding away at the keyboard, as are early morning hours. Sleep? Doesn’t happen much. Writing is too much fun, and there are too many characters bouncing about, tapping on Bailey’s brain demanding to be let out.

Interview: Mark A. Michaels & Patricia Johnson: Authors

Partners In Passion: A ReviewI was lucky enough to be granted an interview with Mark Michaels and Particia Johnson after reading their new book: Partners In Passionir?t=coupondiscuss 20&l=as2&o=1&a=B00H6UODKK, what follows is that interview.

1: How long have you been married and what special insight do you think this gave you when you wrote Partners In Passion, if any?
We have been together for over 15 years and will celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary in October 2014. This isn’t long compared to our parents whose marriages have lasted over 60 years. Still, we’ve been together long enough to experience many of the ups and downs and physical changes that people encounter in long term relationships. Our own experiences have given us many insights and have enhanced our capacity to empathize with the joys and challenges that people face when they’re together for a long time. Writing four books has required us to use the techniques we teach and demanded that we practice what we preach. Because Partners in Passion is so comprehensive, it was the most demanding of the four in this regard.
