Hong Kong Heat Written By Raven McAllanThis weeks erotic romance author spotlight features, Raven McAllan. She was gracious enough to take some time out of her busy writing schedule to answer a few questions about her writing process. She also shared an excerpt of her new book Honk Kong Heat at the end of this interview, and it’s hot!

1. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
I was about seven and I won a competition to write an essay on “where does Chocolate come from.” The prize was chocolate and I was hooked. It took another half century to really think, “come on woman write, you know you want to, what’s stopping you?” The answer was nothing, and I got cracking.

This week we are joined by erotic romance author: Amy Valenti. Amy attained ‘crazy cat lady’ status at four years old, but took a little longer to get to the ‘published author’ stage, which was her other goal in life. Now in her late twenties, she tries to minimize the number of cats she puts into her erotic romance stories, but more than one has slipped into a character’s home while her back’s been turned. After all, the ultimate test of a man’s worth is what his new partner’s pets think of him…

Erotic Romance Author: Willa Edwards.

ownedforchristmas_800This week we asked Willa Edwards to tell us a little about herself, her new book, and her writing style:

How long does it take you to write a book?

It really depends on the book. Some stories come to me fully formed, ready to go, and others are more like difficult toddlers, fighting me the whole way and needing to move at their own pace.

Owned for Christmas, my most recent release with Totally Bound Publishing, came to me very quickly. In fact I didn’t want to write it, because I had some much going on at the time (I was moving to a different state) and I knew Grant, Daniel and Kate wouldn’t wait until my life was calmer and I had the time for them. I could feel this story would be a sprint, not a slow walk. But they just wouldn’t leave me alone. They forced me to write their story, even though I was in the middle of chaos.

Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: Jaxx Steele

Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: Jaxx Steele

Erotic Romance Author Jaxx SteeleAccording to Jaxx Steele, his writings are a combination of some things that she has learned over the years, good and bad, mixed up with a lot of imagination. He says he can only hope that you like what you read.

Jaxx was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, but  escaped and now lives in Indiana. His dream is to buy a house near the beach and write all day and make enough money to live off it. He spends most of his time working a nine to five and traveling, when he can, to new and wondrous places that he can incorporate in to his stories (or that will at least spark ideas for him). He does have love in his life thanks to his life partner, Hou, and their cat, Judo, who graciously lets them live with him in his house. So, all in all, he has a full and happy life.

Jaxx took some time to answer some questions about both himself and his writing.

Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: Natalie Dae

Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: Natalie Dae

Erotic Author Spotlight: Natalie DaeErotic author, Natalie Dae writes mainly BDSM erotica. She loves a Dom/sub relationship and is fascinated by how it all works. The trust issue is the best thing about it for her, so creating characters who have to adopt trust is one of her priorities. “Watching my characters bloom under tuition is such a treat,” she says. “I find it such a privilege to be able to write about something that makes me learn something new with every book.”

She lives with her husband and children in an English village and spends her spare time reading—always reading!—and her phone, complete with Kindle app, is never far away. “I can’t imagine not reading or writing,” she says. “It’s a part of who I am. Without it I’d be more than a bit lost.”

We managed to tear Natalie away from her books for a couple of minutes and she was kind enough to answer a few questions and share a hot excerpt from her new book, Master M.

Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: LM Somerton

Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: LM Somerton

HardRiders An AnthologyLucinda Somerton lives in a small village in the English countryside, surrounded by rolling hills, cows and sheep. She started writing to fill time between jobs and is now firmly and unashamedly addicted.

She loves the English weather, especially the rain, and adores a thunderstorm. She loves good food, warm company and a crackling fire. She’s fascinated by the psychology of relationships, especially between men, and her stories contain some subtle (and some not so subtle) leanings towards BDSM.

We asked Lucinda a few questions about her writing and her new book: ManTrap.

Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: Jenna Byrnes

Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: Jenna Byrnes

taylorstask_largewebErotic author Jenna Byrnes says in an ideal world, she could use more cabinet space and more hours in a day. She’d also fill the kitchen with gadgets her husband purchases off TV and let him cook for her to his heart’s content. She’d also breeze through the days adding hours of sleep, and more time for writing the hot, erotic romance she loves to read.

Jenna thinks everyone deserves a happy ending, and loves to provide as many of those as possible to her gay, lesbian and hetero characters. Her favorite quote, from a pro-gay billboard, is “Be careful who you hate. It may be someone you love.”

1. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
Lots of authors will tell you the same thing, as a kid. I started when I was about ten years old writing romance as I envisioned it in my head. My first heroine had thirteen children because choosing names was so much fun! (I still love picking just the right character names.) My first ‘novels’ were written on notebook paper and bound with yarn.

Erotic Romance Author: Pamela L. Todd

Erotic Romance Author: Pamela L. Todd

now you see me an erotic romance novelPamela has adored books since she can remember. There was no greater pleasure than discovering a new world to venture into, a new character to fall in love with…until she created her own and realised there was something even more magical.

When she isn’t locked away at her computer, or scribbling in a notebook, Pamela can be found as her alter ego—namely wife to Matthew and mother to Todd. They also share their home with a schizophrenic cat and two greedy goldfish.

Pam tore herself away from the goldfish, umm I mean writing, and took a few minutes to answer some questions about her writing.
