Tutorial : Help! Where/What Is My Clitoris?

Find My ClitorisWritten By: Jenne
First thing first, RELAX.

Unless you were the victim of a chance alien abduction/clitordectomy you’re clitoris is there, alive and well. You just need to put on your Crocodile Dundee hat and go do some exploring down under.

Before you start your journey I should point out that being unsure about where your clitoris is is by no means unusual. It’s not like the female body comes equipped with a road map after all. Add to that the fact that this part of the anatomy is hidden beneath folds that many of of us have been taught they shouldn’t explore and your heading for disaster. There has been so much misinformation spread about the clitoris as well which doesn’t help any.

Okay so you’ve got your Crocodile Dundee hat on, lets go exploring, oh you’ll also need a mirror for this excursion. Make sure your sitting comfortably in front of the mirror and we’ll begin.

Gently open the folds of your vulva and take a good look in the mirror. If this is the first time you’ve ever done this then take it slowly. You might find it helpful to look at This picture before you start as this is basically a road map of the female anatomy.

Now take a good look around, have a feel as well. The penis and the clitoris roughly correspond, except that the penis has the urethra running through it and the clitoris doesn’t, They both contain erectile tissue, which fills with blood when we are aroused and causes it to swell. Both of them, surprisingly enough, continue deep into the body. The internal penile shaft can be felt in the perineum, the flat area between your shaft and your anus.

The internal parts of the clitoris can’t be felt. It branches up and out and resembles a wishbone, whose two fingers run either side of the urethra and vagina.

The clitoris is not the vagina or the vulva. The first thing you’ll probably notice is the labia majora, the thick, fleshy outer lips that help protect the clitoris. If you part these you will find a second set of lips, these are the labia minora and these are generally smaller than the outer lips. You’ll likely be able to see your vagina opening, and above that is you clitoris. A small nub like button, try touching that and see what reactions it causes within your body. What you’re now touching is basically a wonderful piece of engineering. Packed with between 6,000 and 8,000 nerve endings the clitoris is probably the most sensitive organ in a woman’s body apart from her skin. The clitoris is also the only part designed purely for pleasure, unlike a mans penis it has no other function in life except to please you -))

Watch the appearance of your clitoris and in fact your whole genital area change as you rub. What happens to the clitoris is basically the same as when a guy masturbates but on a smaller scale. A series of erectile tissues begins to swell and fill with blood, simply put you experience an erection. In some women this is really apparent as they become more aroused in others it’s not so pronounced but that doesn’t make any difference to the sensations it can provide.

So know you’ve found your clitoris, the next challenge is to get your partner to explore as well. Many of the women that visit Clitical.Com complain their partners can’t find their clitoris or even if they can they don’t know what to do with it. One word says it all here, communication. Just as you had to explore your own folds and flaps to discover your clitoris you have to allow your partner to do
