Vibrator Review: Yona 15

First Impressions
I have to be honest with you here my first impression of the Yona was not particularly favorable. The packaging is kind of non descriptive if I’m being honest, but at least I could see the toy that Blush novelties had sent me, and I was not impressed. Pink, is not my favorite toy color and generally signals a bad start for me, but I’ve never been one to back down from a toy, and certainly not because of it’s color. What really put me off was the fact that the Yona resembles a large, chubby finger.

Now that said, I learned long ago never to judge a sex toy by it’s cover, or shape, or color come to that. So I set about testing the Yona or as we now refer to it, ‘the finger.

Solo Test.
So the Yona is not the biggest vibrator in the world with a length of 4.75” and of that around 2.75” is insertable. At it’s widest point it measures in at 1.25 inches and has a circumference of around 4”and like all Blush toys it is made from a high quality silicone which has a wonderful satin finish.

The Yona takes 2AAA batteries to power it and I’ll admit to being skeptical when I first tried it out as to whether it would be powerful enough for me. I was also kind of hesitant about the shape of the Yona itself as it felt kinda strange. It has a dent underneath which I’m assuming was to make holding it easier, but what I found really strange was the end which tapers into a small stump, which as I mentioned earlier makes the Yona appear almost finger shaped.

Of course the real test of any vibe is during use and I put it thought it’s paces. I have to say my skepticism at both the shape and power levels proved to be totally unfounded. With 7 vibration modes there is sure to be a mode that will please everyone. I know I found several that made my Yoni like my new found Yona!

The controls are found at the bottom of the vibe and are actually easy to find even during the use. The fact that they are lighted when the vibe is on is to me at least a major plus. A simple button turns the vibe on and off and the vibration cycling button can be located just underneath it. Sometimes simple really is the best!

Partner Play
Hubby actually likes this vibe as well, but he likes many of the vibes that have a pulsating feature. It’s just that off beat vibe that does it for him. I prefer the straight vibes without the pulsation, so having a toy when we are playing together that does both is always a bonus for us. Like many vibes, this one is great for partner play and the shape lends it’s self to partner play very well. Being finger like it is easy to place between us and control where the vibrations were the most intense or need to achieve the desired results.

What’s It All Add Up To?
The Yona is easy to clean but one big con for me is that it is not waterproof. I am a serious fan of toys that have are waterproof as opposed to splash proof as it just makes them so much more versatile. If the Yona had been waterproof I would have given it a 9 out of 10 but it gets a resounding 7.5 on our scale.

Small enough to be discreet, but large and powerful enough to do the job and all for around $25, what more could you ask for?
