Erotic Romance Author: Willa Edwards.

ownedforchristmas_800This week we asked Willa Edwards to tell us a little about herself, her new book, and her writing style:

How long does it take you to write a book?

It really depends on the book. Some stories come to me fully formed, ready to go, and others are more like difficult toddlers, fighting me the whole way and needing to move at their own pace.

Owned for Christmas, my most recent release with Totally Bound Publishing, came to me very quickly. In fact I didn’t want to write it, because I had some much going on at the time (I was moving to a different state) and I knew Grant, Daniel and Kate wouldn’t wait until my life was calmer and I had the time for them. I could feel this story would be a sprint, not a slow walk. But they just wouldn’t leave me alone. They forced me to write their story, even though I was in the middle of chaos.

Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: Jaxx Steele

Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: Jaxx Steele

Erotic Romance Author Jaxx SteeleAccording to Jaxx Steele, his writings are a combination of some things that she has learned over the years, good and bad, mixed up with a lot of imagination. He says he can only hope that you like what you read.

Jaxx was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, but  escaped and now lives in Indiana. His dream is to buy a house near the beach and write all day and make enough money to live off it. He spends most of his time working a nine to five and traveling, when he can, to new and wondrous places that he can incorporate in to his stories (or that will at least spark ideas for him). He does have love in his life thanks to his life partner, Hou, and their cat, Judo, who graciously lets them live with him in his house. So, all in all, he has a full and happy life.

Jaxx took some time to answer some questions about both himself and his writing.

Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: Jenna Byrnes

Erotic Romance Author Spotlight: Jenna Byrnes

taylorstask_largewebErotic author Jenna Byrnes says in an ideal world, she could use more cabinet space and more hours in a day. She’d also fill the kitchen with gadgets her husband purchases off TV and let him cook for her to his heart’s content. She’d also breeze through the days adding hours of sleep, and more time for writing the hot, erotic romance she loves to read.

Jenna thinks everyone deserves a happy ending, and loves to provide as many of those as possible to her gay, lesbian and hetero characters. Her favorite quote, from a pro-gay billboard, is “Be careful who you hate. It may be someone you love.”

1. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
Lots of authors will tell you the same thing, as a kid. I started when I was about ten years old writing romance as I envisioned it in my head. My first heroine had thirteen children because choosing names was so much fun! (I still love picking just the right character names.) My first ‘novels’ were written on notebook paper and bound with yarn.

Erotic Romance Author: Pamela L. Todd

Erotic Romance Author: Pamela L. Todd

now you see me an erotic romance novelPamela has adored books since she can remember. There was no greater pleasure than discovering a new world to venture into, a new character to fall in love with…until she created her own and realised there was something even more magical.

When she isn’t locked away at her computer, or scribbling in a notebook, Pamela can be found as her alter ego—namely wife to Matthew and mother to Todd. They also share their home with a schizophrenic cat and two greedy goldfish.

Pam tore herself away from the goldfish, umm I mean writing, and took a few minutes to answer some questions about her writing.

Erotic Romance Author: Bailey Bradford

Erotic Romance Author: Bailey Bradford

Bailey Bradford New Book SpotlessThis week’s erotic romance author is none other than Bailey Bradford! For those of you that aren’t familiar with her or her work, let me fill you in a little.

Bailey Bradford is a native Texan, who spends her days spinning stories around in her head, which has contributed to more than one incident of tripping over her own feet. Evenings are reserved for pounding away at the keyboard, as are early morning hours. Sleep? Doesn’t happen much. Writing is too much fun, and there are too many characters bouncing about, tapping on Bailey’s brain demanding to be let out.

Cover Him With Darkness Written By: Janine Ashbless

Cover Him With Darkness Written By: Janine Ashbless

Cover Him With Darkness: A ReviewIt seemed appropriate to start this review with a confession. As a general rule, I’m not someone that reads erotic romance, but when the good people over at Cleis asked me I decided to take the plunge. I have to say that I am so glad I did take that plunge and here endeth my confession.

So the next few days I spent delving into the wicked and often dark, yet beautiful world that author Janine Ashbless has created via her new work, ‘Cover Him With Darkness.’ The story starts with a secret, as many a good story does, but this one also features a fallen Angel, a Priest, and a young girl. The Priest is charged with keeping the Fallen Angel bound and tied way below the church that he oversees in a tiny village in Yugoslavia, but he is the last man in his line.
