Review: Spunklube Personal Lubricants 14

Spunklube ReviewSpunk might only cum in one variety but Spunklube comes in three! These three unique lubes are designed to fix many of the problems that can be encountered if, like myself, you use lube on a regular basis. The one thing they do have in common is that they all have an uncanny resemblance to spunk itself. In this review I am going to take a look at all three varieties offered by Spunklube and how they all play a vital role in your sex play.

SpunkLube HybridSpunklube Hybrid: This lube bears an uncanny resemblance and feel as it’s name suggests, to well; spunk. Spunklube, looks and feels like the real thing, the one way it does differ is in it delivery method and there are times when I’m playing solo that I have been glad for that. Spunklube comes in a neat bottle with it’s own pump dispenser which makes placing the  lube where you actually want it really easy.

Spunklube is actually a hybrid lube, in that is water based but contain silicone. This gives the user two distinct advantages over a pure water based or silicone lube, in that unlike water-based lube, it will dry out less easily and unlike silicone lube it is safe to use with all sex toys, even silicone ones.

Ingredients: Water, Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Cylopentasloxane, Cylopexasiloxane, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxmethlcellulose, Glycerine, Methylparaben

Solo Play: For me the main plus Spunklube hybrid offers is that I can use it with my silicone toys and still have the benefits of a longer lasting lubricant experience.  I found this to be a longer lasting experience and I didn’t need much of the lube to have the desired effects. It could be a little messy, a bit like the real thing, but clean up was seriously easy and took no more than a simple wipe with a washcloth.

Partner Play: Hubby was impressed when I showed him this lube. He was even more impressed when we used it while doing the horizontal tango. He liked the texture and the slipperiness of the lube itself, which enhanced both our experiences. I often like to slide a toy between us, for a more enhanced experience and I found that using Spunklube only added to the sensations and made it much easier for me to orgasm.  Not having to worry about which toy material the actual toy was made from was a major plus as well.

SpunkLube Pink ReviewSpunklube Pink: Pink comes in a neat bottle similar to Spunklube but there are two differences here that worthy of note. This lube may have the same consistency as spunk but the color differs greatly from the real thing. That’s because this lube is well, pink, and I have to say if your partner is producing pink spunk then you probably need to get him to the Doctor asap. The other distinct difference is that pink lube is designed with the ladies in mind and contains no glycerine, a substance that is thought to possibly cause yeast infections in some women.

Ingrdients: Water, Cylcopetasiloxane, Cyclohexasilxane, Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Propylene Glycol, Hydrxymethylcellulose, Methylparaben, FD & C Red 40

Solo Play: Apart from the fact that this lube is glycerine free and is pink in color there is as far as I can tell very little difference between this and the original hybrid spunk.

Personally I don’t mind glycerine in my lube as the jury is still out on whether or not glycerine actually can cause yeast infections, but if it’s something that you would prefer to
avoid during your play then this could be a good choice for you.

Partner Test: Hubby was not enamored with the color of this lube, but as it was designed with the ladies in mind, his opinion on the color doesn’t really count in my book. Like me, he could not tell the difference between this lube and the other hybrid spunk lube, either. We actually put this theory to the test when we inadvertently applied Pink instead of the hybrid variety during some pretty heated maneuvers one night. It wasn’t until later when we looked a the bottle on the bed that we even realized our mistake.

SpunkLube SiliconeSpunklube Silicone: As the name suggests this is a silicone based lube, and because of that has the advantage of generally lasting longer than the other two type. The other advantage it has is that it is waterproof so can be used in the tub, shower etc, which is always a plus in my book. Unlike many of the silicone lubes on the market, this one can be used in conjunction with silicone toys, thanks to the fact that it does not contain Vitamin E as many other silicone based formulas do. I’m not a chemist but I did put that claim to the test on one of my least loved silicone toys and after 24 hours I’m happy to report that the toy was in no way harmed in the making of this review.

Ingredients: Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Cylopentasilozane, Cyclohexasiloxane

Solo Test: To me it’s slicker than the other lubes and in someways because it is not as thick as the hybrid based varieties it it seemed to offer a better gliding surface than that of the hybrid lube.

Partner Test: This was by far and away my Hubby’s favorite lube when it came to penetration. ‘Holy sh**t that feels good,’ in my book meant he liked the lube. We both really enjoyed this version of Spunklube when doing the horizontal tango, a this lasts for a long time. Basically as long as you are moving and manipulating the lube it will continue to stay well  slick and solvent.

What’s It All Add Up To?
For us, all three of the Spunklube range has a place in our bedroom. We both like the look and consistency of spunk lube Hybrid, even if the pink color was not to Hubbies taste. Talking of taste the one thing I should note here is that I was personally not keen on the taste of these lubes. For me they all contain a chemical after taste and the one ingredients that was missing was salt.

Taste aside, the Spunklube range offers you a great range of lubes that are designed with the end user in mind. I have to say that normally I would bitch a little about the bottle design and the fact that it has spunk written all over it, but in this case I really don’t mind for a reason I can’t explain.

If your looking for a fun addition to your sex arsenal  then you won’t go far with these three products. They pretty much have all the bases covered, no matter who, when or where you choose to play. After all playing with Spunk is always a good thing in this reviewers book…
